Job summary

Astra Tech in Dubai seeks an experienced senior accountant to own IFRS reporting for group entities, manage the month-end close, and oversee consolidation and management reporting. You will interact with auditors and drive improvements across controls and processes.

Role requires hands-on experience with IFRS in lending/payments/fintech contexts, Oracle Fusion, and a proactive, evidence-based approach to adherence and reporting excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• ACCA, CA, CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• 8+ years in accounting with IFRS reporting, close, and consolidation.
• Hands-on external audit management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Run monthly close to deadlines, with balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare IFRS financial statements and disclosures for entities.
• Produce management packs and explain variances to Board and investors.
• Lead external audit planning, PBC lists and sign-off.
• Coordinate internal audits and remediation of findings.
• Draft accounting position papers on new standards (IFRS 9/15/16).
• Manage group consolidation, currency translation and intercompany balances.
• Own key financial controls and ERP access.
• Document policies, SOPs and process narratives; remediate audit findings.
• Prepare VAT and Pillar Two inputs for regulatory returns.
