Role Context

The Vice Principal will translate the school 's vision and improvement priorities into coordinated academic and operational action. The role carries responsibility for instructional quality, leadership development, curriculum implementation, assessment standards, student safety, staff performance, and inspection readiness. Strong turnaround leadership will be required to identify weaknesses, establish measurable expectations, build staff capability, and sustain improvements across teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Uphold the school 's vision and mission while supporting the Principal in advancing strategic priorities.
• Contribute actively to whole-school leadership as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
• Lead school improvement initiatives connected with teaching, learning, assessment, inclusion, and holistic education.
• Ensure that students are supervised within safe, supportive, and well-managed learning environments.
• Oversee instructional programs and evaluate their effectiveness through lesson observations, planning reviews, student work, and performance data.
• Promote evidence-based pedagogy and high expectations across classrooms and subject areas.
• The Vice Principal will work directly with leaders and teachers to establish consistent teaching practices and ensure that professional development translates into measurable improvements.
• Review lesson plans and classroom delivery regularly and provide clear follow-up actions.
• Support curriculum implementation, enrichment programs, assessment requirements, and relevant certification processes.
• Align teaching, learning, and assessment methods with agreed performance-improvement standards.
• Contribute to the School Improvement Plan and the self-evaluation of teaching and learning.
• Use triangulated data to evaluate student progress, attainment, instructional quality, and improvement priorities.
• Coordinate with Curriculum and Assessment teams regarding curriculum developments and performance indicators.
• Design leadership-development initiatives that improve the capability and accountability of middle and senior leaders.

Ideal Profile

Candidates must hold a Master 's degree in Education or a related field and have at least 5 years of overall education experience. This must include more than 3 years in an education leadership position within a CBSE curriculum school. Preference will be given to applicants who have led the secondary section of a CBSE school. Previous UAE school leadership experience and strong working knowledge of DSIB Inspection Frameworks are mandatory. The selected leader should have a proven record of improving teacher capability through sustained school improvement plans and Continuing Professional Development. Experience designing and delivering Learning and Development programs through in-person and online formats is required. A commitment to inclusion, excellent English communication, strong decision-making, team building, organization, and close attention to detail are essential. Candidates must remain calm and solution-focused during complex or high-pressure situations. Applicants should be prepared to provide two professional references.
