Principal - UK Curriculum School in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a senior education sector leadership role for an accomplished and visionary school leader with strong experience in UK Curriculum education, whole‑school strategy, inspection improvement, academic performance, safeguarding, and stakeholder engagement. This role is ideal for a high‑calibre Principal or senior school leader who can combine strategic vision, operational discipline, regulatory excellence, and a strong commitment to holistic student development.

Salary: 35,000‑55,000 monthly (Market estimated). Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Role Context

The Principal will lead one of LEAMS Education's prestigious UK Curriculum schools in Dubai and report to the Board of Directors. The role carries responsibility for school improvement, teaching and learning quality, student attainment, inspection readiness, safeguarding, leadership development, enrolment growth, parent engagement, financial sustainability, and brand positioning. The successful candidate will help drive measurable academic progress while supporting the continued growth of LEAMS Education's expanding school portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic school improvement aligned with LEAMS Education's governance framework and long‑term education vision.
  • Set and execute whole‑school priorities that strengthen academic quality, student outcomes, operational performance, and school reputation.
  • Ensure high‑quality teaching and learning in line with the National Curriculum for England.
  • Drive curriculum excellence across key stages, with strong oversight of IGCSE and A‑Level pathways.
  • Monitor student attainment, progress, assessment outcomes, and intervention impact through data‑informed decision‑making.
  • Lead inspection readiness and ensure full compliance with UAE authorities, KHDA expectations, safeguarding requirements, and British education standards.
  • Strengthen senior and middle leadership capacity through coaching, accountability, succession planning, and professional development.
  • Build a strong culture of safeguarding, wellbeing, inclusion, academic ambition, and continuous improvement across the school.
  • Inspire teachers, leaders, support teams, students, and parents through clear communication and visible leadership.
  • Support enrolment growth through strong parent engagement, community relationships, school positioning, and service quality.
  • Work closely with the Board of Directors and education group leadership to align school priorities with portfolio‑level goals.
  • Ensure efficient school operations, financial sustainability, resource planning, and responsible budget management.
  • Oversee academic, pastoral, operational, and administrative systems to ensure smooth whole‑school performance.
  • Promote innovation, digital learning, best teaching practices, and evidence‑based school improvement.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality, professionalism, and regulatory integrity in all leadership decisions.
  • Represent the school and LEAMS Education positively with parents, staff, regulators, partners, and the wider education community.
Ideal Profile
  • Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, School Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • NPQH or equivalent senior leadership qualification is strongly preferred.
  • Proven senior leadership experience within a UK Curriculum school is required.
  • Strong track record of improving school performance and inspection outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of the National Curriculum for England, IGCSE pathways, and A‑Level pathways.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE education regulations, KHDA expectations, British standards, safeguarding, and school compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead whole‑school strategy, academic improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Skilled in using performance data to improve attainment, progress, teaching quality, and intervention planning.
  • Ability to inspire teams, develop leadership capacity, and strengthen succession planning.
  • Strong experience in stakeholder engagement, parent communication, enrolment support, and brand positioning.
