Job summary

Al Futtaim Private Company (LLC) in Dubai seeks a VP Property Insurance to generate new business, retain renewal business, and lead risk management while maintaining high professional standards and client satisfaction.

The role requires 8–12 years in a senior capacity with strong knowledge of Property insurance, underwriting, claims and re-insurance. You will manage key brokers, develop channels, and drive profitability for the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required; ACII desirable.
• 8-12 years experience in a progressive organisation.
• Job-specific skills: General Insurance with emphasis on Property, Underwriting, Claims & Re-insurance.
• Behavioral competencies: Strong interpersonal & analytical skills, dynamic personality, good communication, excellent presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, analyse and develop sales strategies to secure new and renewal business and to increase market share.
• Produce required target of insurance business from designated areas to achieve premium targets.
• Review and monitor premium payments and actively pursue timely collection of outstanding amounts.
• Collect and collate market information and prepare reports for management to counter competition and increase market share.
• Promote growth of insurance business by establishing close liaison with Brokers and clients for profitability and satisfaction.
• Underwrite risks in line with guidelines and provide statistics and market intelligence to support pricing and reinsurance decisions.
• Conduct risk inspections to assess insurability and recommend risk improvements.
• Review policy documents for accuracy and ensure prompt dispatch to customers and partners.
• Coordinate with customers, brokers and other parties to obtain underwriting information and provide solutions.

• BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT nbsp PROFITABLITY Plan analyse and develop sales strategies and actions in order to secure new renewal of business and enhance market share
• BUSINESS TARGETS Produce the required target of insurance business from the designated areas to achieve or exceed the assigned premium target
• PREMIUM COLLECTION OUTSTANDING Review and monitor the due Premiums payment status to actively follow up timely collection of the outstanding premiums
• MANAGEMENT REPORTS COMPETITION Collect and collate business and market conditions related information and prepare reports and formulate appropriate recommendations for Management Information and Decision Making to counter competition and increase the company s market share of the business
• BROKER CLIENT SERVICE Promote the growth of the insurance business by establishing and maintaining close liaison with Brokers and clients to ensure customer satisfaction and profitability
• UNDERWITING Ensure proper underwriting of insurance risks in keeping with the guidelines by supplying experience statistics and market intelligence Compute appropriate premium accurately and allocate reinsurance cessions with the specified criteria to facilitate proper data entry process and generation of appropriate policy documents
• RISK INSPECTION Ensure proper conducting risk inspection to assess and report acceptability of risks and recommend appropriate risk improvement measures in order to ensure sound insurability of risks
• POLICY DOCUMENTS Review and ensure accuracy of the contents of the policy documents and arrange prompt dispatch in order to provide an efficient service to customers brokers development officers and participating re-insurers
• COORDINATION Co-ordinate with customers brokers and development officers and other insurance companies to obtain required additional underwriting particulars in order to carry out proper risk assessment and provide appropriate solutions to their problems

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:Bachelor Degree (Commerce/Science / Arts / Business Administration)Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute, London or equivalent (Desirable)Minimum Experience:8-12 years’ experience in a progressive organisation (Including a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Senior Managerial position).Job-Specific Skills:General Insurance with particular emphasis on Property, Underwriting, Claims & Re-insurance.Behavioral Competencies:Strong interpersonal & analytical skills.Dynamic personality with good communication skills.Excellent presentation skills.
