Job summary

Abu Dhabi Airports is seeking a strategic Vice President of Category Management to lead procurement across the organization and its subsidiaries. You will shape sourcing strategies, category plans and supplier relationships while driving procurement transformation and ESG alignment.

The role requires a deep background in procurement leadership, significant experience with large spend portfolios, and strong negotiation and governance capabilities to deliver measurable value.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management with at least 8 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record leading enterprise-wide procurement transformation including digitalization and process optimization.
• Experience managing large-scale spend portfolios across direct and indirect categories.
• Demonstrated success in contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, and risk management.
• Familiarity with e-procurement platforms (e.g., Oracle Fusion) and data analytics tools for spend analysis and performance tracking.

• Drive enterprise-wide sourcing strategies, category planning and supplier relationship management.
• Oversee governance, budgets and procurement transformation initiatives to deliver measurable value.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management/related

Master’s/MBA preferred

The Vice President of Category Management is a strategic executive responsible for leading both strategic and transactional procurement across Abu Dhabi Airports (ADA) and its subsidiaries. This role drives enterprise-wide sourcing strategies, category planning, supplier relationship management, and procurement transformation initiatives.

The VP ensures procurement delivers measurable value through revenue generation, cost optimization, innovation, ESG alignment, and

operational excellence.

Required Experience:

Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is required.


• Master’s degree or MBA is highly preferred, especially with a focus on Procurement, Operations, or Strategy.


• Professional certifications such as CIPS, ISM CPSM, or CPP are advantageous.


• Strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
