Job summary

Job description

We are looking for a UX/UI Product Designer to help shape Greenstone’s web applications: our internal CRM, used daily by our coverage, product and compliance teams, and our client-facing portal. You will join a small, high-trust technology team, working directly with leadership, business users and engineers, with real influence over how our products look, read and work.

This role suits someone who has thrived in lean teams and is comfortable working across the whole process: research, writing, design, prototyping and delivery. Our applications are built in React with Material UI; we expect you to design within that reality and to use AI-native tools to get from idea to working prototype quickly.

Responsibilities

• Lead features end to end. Take features across our internal CRM and client-facing portal from first concept to release, working closely with the rest of the team to keep the experience consistent.
• Shape what we build. Work with the Head of Technology and business leads to frame problems, run lightweight discovery with users, and write the requirements that guide each build.
• Design the flows. Turn complex investment and relationship workflows into clear user flows, information architecture and wireframes for data-dense, multi-step applications, and validate them with the people who use them.
• Prototype fast, with AI. Turn ideas into working, interactive prototypes with AI-native tools such as Lovable, Claude, Figma Make or v0; use them to test with users and align stakeholders before engineering commits, and help the wider team adopt these tools well.
• Craft the interface. Deliver polished, high-fidelity, responsive UI to a premium, institutional standard across desktop, tablet and mobile.
• Write the words. Own the UX copy across every application: labels, microcopy, empty states, error messages and in-app guidance, in one clear and consistent voice.
• Run the design system. Build and maintain a Figma design system of tokens, components and patterns that mirrors our Material UI library, so design and code stay in step.
• Ship with engineering. Work with our frontend engineers on feasibility and handoff, review builds against design intent, and refine until what ships matches what was designed.
• Design for trust. Bring the care a regulated environment demands: clear permissions and states, safe defaults, and interfaces that handle sensitive investor and client data responsibly.

Requirements

• Experience. 5+ years of product design, including time in lean, startup-style teams where you owned the work end to end; SaaS or fintech preferred.
• Portfolio. Live, complex web applications, ideally B2B or data-heavy, that show your process from problem to shipped interface, including the prototypes you built and the copy you wrote.
• AI-native prototyping. Day-to-day use of AI design and build tools such as Lovable, Claude, Figma Make, v0 or Bolt to produce working prototypes, and the judgment to know when a prototype beats a static mockup.
• Figma and design systems. Expert Figma, including variables, tokens, component architecture and auto layout, with hands-on experience building a design system around an established library such as Material UI.
• End-to-end UX. Proven ability across discovery, information architecture, user flows, wireframing, usability testing and iteration.
• UI craft. A demonstrable eye for typography, spacing, hierarchy and detail, a refined and premium aesthetic, and solid grounding in accessibility (WCAG) and responsive design.
• UX writing. Clear, concise interface copy; you treat words as part of the design, not an afterthought.
• Front-end literacy. Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and component-based React frontends: enough to read code, pair with engineers and specify designs that are practical to build.
• Product sense and communication. Strong product judgment: framing problems, weighing trade-offs, and presenting and defending decisions to senior, non-technical stakeholders.
• Ownership. Self-directed, organised and pragmatic about scope: able to take a feature from brief to release on your own, collaborate closely with other designers and engineers, and balance speed with quality.
• Education and location. A degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction or a related discipline, or equivalent experience; able to work full-time from our Dubai office.

Nice to have

• Financial services. Experience designing for asset management, private markets, wealth or other regulated, data-sensitive products.
• Data visualisation. Experience designing dashboards, charts and dense tabular interfaces.
• Interaction and motion. Dedicated prototyping tools such as ProtoPie or Framer, and thoughtful use of motion to explain state and add polish, without excess.
• Measurement and research tooling. Familiarity with PostHog, Hotjar or Sentry replays, and with Maze, Useberry or Dovetail for testing and synthesis.

This is a permanent, full-time, office-based position at our Downtown Dubai headquarters, reporting to the Managing Director and Head of Technology.
