Job summary

Nova International General Contracting in the UAE seeks a Civil Engineering Inspector to oversee day-to-day on-site utility construction activities. You will verify works against IFC/shop drawings, specifications, method statements, and ITPs, ensuring compliance with Abu Dhabi codes and authority requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and UAE/Abu Dhabi codes familiarity.
• 3–5 years of infrastructure and utility construction inspection experience.
• Ability to read IFC/shop drawings, specs, and ITPs.
• Experience coordinating inspections with consultants, contractors and authorities.

Responsibilities

• Inspect utility installation works and monitor subcontractor activities on site.
• Verify installations against approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and ITPs.
• Inspect trenching, bedding, pipe laying, joints, backfilling, chambers and manholes.
• Inspect wet and dry utility installations including water, sewerage, stormwater, irrigation, electrical, telecoms.
• Coordinate inspection requests with the Consultant and follow up on inspections, comments, and approvals.
