Job summary

MAVI is seeking a Head of Accounting in Dubai to own the accounting function end-to-end for US-based IT SaaS clients. You will be the senior accounting leader, accountable for financial statement integrity, close discipline, and audit readiness, embedded within US finance teams and reporting to US leadership.

You will drive policy, controls, and close processes, mentor staff, and partner with US Controllers, CFOs, and founders on critical accounting implications of business decisions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with deep US GAAP command, including leadership and development of accounting staff.
• Experience leading an audit or review with external auditors through resolution of findings.
• Background in SaaS/IT services and multi-entity accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the full month-end, quarter-end, and annual close under US GAAP, ensuring calendar accuracy and close cycle efficiency.
• Own financial statements: P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow, with audit readiness and board/owner reporting.
• Oversee revenue recognition under ASC 606, including schedules, deferred revenue roll-forward, ARR reporting, and judgments.
• Lead ERP selection, implementation, and consolidation for multi-entity accounting.
• Coordinate US tax compliance with external CPA firms and supervise related inputs to tax provisioning.
