Job summary

Zurich is seeking an Underwriting Assistant for the Commercial Insurance Middle East team in Dubai. You will support the Underwriting - Construction group with basic tasks, data entry and document preparation to help assess low complexity risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance principles, policies and industry practices is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to review and evaluate complex information accurately and efficiently.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and quality assurance.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and underwriting software.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication, both written and verbal, with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review applications and pricing of low complexity risks under supervision.
• Provide support with basic underwriting tasks and document preparation.
• Maintain accurate underwriting records and policy docs.
• Communicate with brokers and internal stakeholders to obtain information.
• Assist in preparing underwriting reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with Claims and Finance to ensure smooth processes.
• Stay updated on regulations and market conditions affecting underwriting decisions.
