Job summary

SearchPlus HR Consultancy is recruiting a leading healthcare facility in the UAE for an experienced Hand Surgeon with UK CCT to join its specialist surgical team. The role involves diagnosing and managing complex hand and upper-limb conditions, performing elective and emergency procedures, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements include MBBS/MD or equivalent, UK CCT in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery or Plastic Surgery with Hand Surgery fellowship, and current GMC/registration.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
• UK CCT in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery or Plastic Surgery, with Hand Surgery fellowship/training.
• FRCS or equivalent specialist qualification preferred.
• Current GMC/specialist registration or equivalent.
• Eligible for UAE Consultant/Specialist classification per local guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage complex hand, wrist, and upper-limb conditions.
• Perform elective and emergency hand and wrist procedures.
• Manage hand trauma, tendon and nerve injuries, fractures, and soft-tissue conditions.
• Perform reconstructive and microsurgical procedures.
• Provide pre-operative assessment and post-operative follow-up.
• Collaborate with orthopedic, plastic surgery, rehabilitation, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in clinical audits, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives.
