Job summary

SearchPlus HR Consultancy in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced Specialist/Consultant Hand Surgeon to join a leading healthcare organization in Dubai. You will provide comprehensive assessment and surgical management of hand, wrist, and upper-limb conditions within a multidisciplinary team.

The role includes elective and emergency procedures, pre- and post-operative care, and collaboration with physiotherapists, radiologists, and plastic surgeons to deliver patient-centered outcomes.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical qualification.
• Postgraduate qualification in Orthopedic Surgery or an equivalent surgical specialty.
• Fellowship in Hand & Upper Limb Surgery preferred.
• Significant post-specialization experience in hand surgery.
• Experience managing complex hand, wrist, and upper-limb conditions is required.
• UK CCT/FRCS, American Board, Australian Board/FRACS, or equivalent qualifications are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a broad range of hand, wrist, and upper-limb conditions.
• Perform elective and emergency hand and upper-limb surgical procedures.
• Manage fractures, tendon, nerve, ligament, and soft-tissue injuries.
• Perform reconstructive and complex hand surgeries.
• Manage traumatic hand and upper-limb injuries.
• Provide pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-up.
• Develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans.
• Collaborate with physiotherapists, radiologists, and surgeons across disciplines.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical meetings.
• Maintain accurate medical records and surgical documentation.
• Participate in audits, quality improvement, and CPD.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and evidence-based practice.
