Job summary

eToro is seeking a Compliance Officer to join our UAE/GCC compliance team in Abu Dhabi. You will work with the Head of Compliance to operate the local compliance framework, handling monitoring, regulatory liaison, and policy advisement across UAE regulators including FSRA.

You will guide staff and management on regulatory matters, manage client inquiries and complaints, and contribute to product governance and risk assessments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of compliance experience in financial services in UAE/ADGM or FSRA-regulated firms.
• Experience building relations with regulators, including FSRA.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; able to advise Board and senior management.
• Eligible for FSRA Approved Person / Authorized Individual function.
• Knowledge of virtual asset regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute local compliance strategy and framework; develop local team members as directed by Head of Compliance.
• Carry out elements of the compliance monitoring plan, including surveillance and reviews.
• Provide advice to staff and senior management on regulatory issues and policy.
• Handle client enquiries, information requests and complaints.
• Lead Phase 3 Complaints and regulatory referrals.
• Conduct compliance, risk, and gap assessments where appropriate.
• Maintain compliance registers and related documentation.
• Identify, log and escalate compliance issues and breaches; aid resolution.
• Review/update policies and procedures in line with regulatory changes.
• Prepare and file assigned regulatory and AML reports with regulators.
• Provide compliance management information to Head of Compliance, Board, and senior management.
