Job summary

Eni Abu Dhabi B.V. is seeking an Accountant to join the Abu Dhabi team, focusing on accounts payable activities within an Emiratisation Programme. UAE nationals with a Family Book are prioritized under a 10-year fixed-term contract.

The role requires strong Excel skills, ERP experience (SAP/Oracle), and meticulous financial control. Arabic language proficiency is required, with intermediate English; cross-functional coordination will be common.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

Process vendor invoices accurately and timely using SAP.
Perform three-way matching of POs, goods receipts and supplier invoices.
Verify invoice accuracy and obtain approvals prior to payment.
Prepare and process vendor payments through various methods.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Monitor ageing reports and follow up on outstanding invoices.
Coordinate with procurement, receiving and business departments to resolve invoice issues.
Ensure compliance with policies, controls and tax regulations.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities including accruals.
Assist with audits by providing required documentation.
Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable processes.
Prepare reports and analyses related to accounts payable.
