Job summary

LA MARQUISE INTERNATIONAL is seeking a dedicated HSE Officer to support workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. You will drive UAE compliance, maintain records, and lead incident investigations.

The role requires 3–5 years of UAE HSE experience, a NEBOSH IGC, and related certifications; you will conduct inductions, toolbox talks, audits, and ensure training validity on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, OHS, environmental science or related field.
• Mandatory NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification.
• IOSH, First Aid, Fire Warden, Permit-to-Work or ISO 45001 certification is an advantage.
• 3-5 years UAE HSE experience, including at least 2 years independently managing HSE at a site.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, client HSE standards, contract requirements and the approved HSE Plan.
• Maintain HSE records, risk assessments, method statements, permits, training certificates and inspection reports.
• Implement permit-to-work systems, verify safety controls, enforce PPE and stop unsafe work.
• Conduct site inspections and client/internal audits; close corrective actions on time.
• Report and investigate incidents and near misses; identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Conduct site inductions and toolbox talks; ensure certifications are current.
• Maintain emergency response plans, drills and equipment readiness.
• Assess subcontractor HSE compliance and monitor safety performance on site.
• Monitor waste management, spill prevention, heat stress controls and worker welfare facilities.
• Submit daily, weekly and monthly HSE reports; update management on performance and actions.
• Work independently; escalate critical incidents, warnings, overdue actions and scope changes.
