LA MARQUISE INTERNATIONAL is seeking a dedicated HSE Officer to support workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. You will drive UAE compliance, maintain records, and lead incident investigations.
The role requires 3–5 years of UAE HSE experience, a NEBOSH IGC, and related certifications; you will conduct inductions, toolbox talks, audits, and ensure training validity on site.
We are looking for a dedicated HSE Officer to support our commitment to workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.
HSE Compliance: Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, client HSE standards, contract requirements, and the approved HSE Plan.
Documentation: Maintain HSE records, risk assessments, method statements, permits, training certificates, and inspection reports.
Risk Management: Implement permit-to-work systems, verify safety controls, enforce PPE requirements, and stop unsafe work when necessary.
Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular site inspections, internal audits, and client audits, ensuring corrective actions are closed on time.
Incident Management: Report and investigate incidents and near misses, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Training and Competency: Conduct site inductions and daily toolbox talks, and ensure employees hold valid, required certifications.
Emergency Preparedness: Maintain emergency response plans, conduct drills, and ensure emergency equipment is available and functional.
Subcontractor HSE: Assess subcontractor compliance and monitor their safety performance on site.
Environmental and Welfare Compliance: Monitor waste management, spill prevention, heat stress controls, and worker welfare facilities.
Reporting: Submit daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports on time and provide management with updates on performance, risks, and outstanding actions.
Authority and Accountability The HSE Officer is expected to work independently, manage HSE activities proactively, stop unsafe work, reject non-compliant permits or risk assessments, and address safety concerns without daily supervision. Critical incidents, formal client warnings, overdue corrective actions, budget exceptions, and contract scope changes must be escalated promptly.
100% on-time submission of HSE reports.
100% completion of planned inspections.
100% closure of client observations by the due date.
Daily toolbox talks and inductions before site access.
100% valid workforce certifications.
Incident investigation reports issued within 72 hours.
Emergency drills conducted as scheduled.
Achievement of the client’s HSE audit target.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Mandatory NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification. IOSH, First Aid, Fire Warden, Permit-to-Work, or ISO 45001 certification is an advantage.
Minimum 3-5 years of UAE HSE experience, including at least 2 years independently managing HSE at a site or client contract.
