Job summary

UBL UAE is seeking an experienced Credit Officer to join the UAE Credit team. The role covers credit analysis, approval processing, and portfolio monitoring for corporate and commercial clients within the UAE market.

The ideal candidate will have local UAE market knowledge, extensive corporate credit experience, and strong financial analysis skills to assess risk, structure facilities, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Local UAE market knowledge and understanding of the UAE business environment
• Strong financial analysis and risk assessment capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Exercise credit approval within delegated limits for UAE corporate/commercial clients
• Prepare credit approval memoranda and documentation for authorities
• Monitor portfolio quality and identify early warnings
• Assess creditworthiness, repayment capacity, financial strength, and business model of customers
• Ensure facilities align with risk appetite, policies, and regulatory requirements
• Evaluate new and renewing credit proposals, restructurings and waivers
• Provide independent challenge to business proposals as needed
