Job summary

Whitespot is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Accountant to manage end-to-end AP operations, including invoice processing, VAT compliance, and month-end closing. The role emphasizes UAE AP processes, ERP systems, vendor management, and financial controls within a facilities management/service environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline required.
• 3–5 years of accounts payable experience in UAE preferred.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems, NetSuite is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and PO/Non-PO invoices to ensure timely payments.
• Verify VAT compliance, approvals, budget checks, cost centre allocation and GL coding.
• Prepare weekly vendor payment proposals based on ageing and due dates.
• Reconcile AP sub-ledger with the general ledger and supplier statements.
• Support month-end closing, accruals, prepayments and intercompany activity.
• Ensure VAT compliance and effective internal controls in AP processes.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements in AP workflows.
