Job summary

GLOMACS Training & Consultancy is seeking an Accountant to oversee complete AR and AP cycles in a UAE setting. The role focuses on accurate financial records, VAT and Corporate Tax compliance, and timely reporting using Odoo ERP.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of UAE accounting experience, strong reconciliation skills, and proficiency in Excel. You will support monthly and year-end closes and maintain robust internal controls to ensure data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and IFRS.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems, preferably Odoo.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day AR operations in Odoo ERP, including invoicing, payments, reconciliations, and AR journal entries.
• Prepare customer ledgers, statements of account, and AR records; monitor collections and aging.
• Reconcile AR balances with bank statements and provide AR forecasts to management.
• Process supplier invoices, PO, GRN, and payments in Odoo ERP; perform three-way matching.
• Maintain vendor ledgers, reconcile statements, and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Monitor AP aging and ensure payments align with credit terms.
• Generate AR and AP reports from Odoo and support budgeting and cash flow forecasting.
• Ensure VAT treatment on sales and purchases and support UAE Corporate Tax filings and audits.
• Maintain strong internal controls and support internal/external audits.
