Job summary

DP World is seeking a qualified Tug Engineer in Dubai to oversee daily operations and maintenance of tug vessels. The candidate will ensure optimal machinery performance, conduct preventative maintenance, and adhere to safety standards to support efficient operations.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in port or tug operations as a Tug Engineer.
• Strong technical knowledge of dual fuel diesel engines and marine propulsion systems.
• Proven ability to perform hands‑on maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Safety-conscious with a proactive maintenance approach.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise day-to-day operation of tug machinery to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on tug vessels.
• Report faults or potential issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and machinery components.
• Ensure all maintenance activities align with company standards.
