Job summary

DP World is seeking a Marine Manager based in Dubai to lead the day-to-day and long-term operational and technical management of Maritime Solutions' Tugs, Pilot Boats, and Mooring departments across the UAE. You will report to the General Manager UAE Ports Business Unit and drive business development, client relationships, and service quality.

The role requires extensive vessel operations leadership, strong knowledge of ISM/quality systems, and a track record in senior vessel management.

Qualifications

• Master STCW 2010 Certificate of Competency - Class 1, with deep sea sailing experience of at least 3 years with Technical Experience OR Technical certification as a Engineer with operations experience in Tugs.
• 10+ years in port marine operations in a shore-based management role.
• 10+ years in operational management of vessels as fleet manager or similar senior position.
• 5+ years in technical management of vessels as a fleet manager or similar senior position.
• Experience with vessel acquisition programs.
• Knowledge of Quality and Safety Management systems (ISM).
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure day-to-day & long-term operational and technical management of Maritime Solutions Tugs, Pilot boats, and Mooring departments in the UAE region.
• Monitor and report issues or key initiatives to improve & ensure business development.
• Establish & maintain relationships with clients and employees to meet contractual requirements.
• Deliver cost-effective, timely, and high-quality service.
• Manage vessel dockings, builds, modifications, and technical project solutions.
• Develop budgets and plans for project execution and manage projects to milestones.
• Lead safety, HSSEQ compliance, and stakeholder communications.
