Job summary

Radley James is representing a newly launched hedge fund in Abu Dhabi seeking a Technical Operations Engineer to take ownership of the stability, performance and reliability of critical production trading systems. The role places you alongside Engineering and Trading in a technology-driven environment where you can have genuine ownership and impact.

You will work on FIX protocol, exchange connectivity and market data, with a focus on monitoring, observability and log analysis, and close

• 3+ years supporting trading systems in electronic trading.
• Strong background in Linux, FIX, and troubleshooting.

I’m working with a newly launched hedge fund that is building out a highly sophisticated, technology-led trading platform and growing its presence in Abu Dhabi. The firm has assembled an exceptional team of engineers, traders and investment professionals from some of the world’s leading hedge funds and trading firms, with significant investment going into its technology and trading infrastructure.

This is an opportunity to join at a very early stage of the fund’s growth in Abu Dhabi, working directly alongside Engineering and Trading in an environment where technology is fundamental to the business and individuals can have genuine ownership and impact.

They are looking for a Technical Operations Engineer to take ownership of the stability, performance and reliability of critical production trading systems.

Key areas:

• FIX protocol, exchange connectivity & market data
• Monitoring, observability & log analysis
• Close interaction with Engineering and Trading teams

Ideally, you’ll have 3+ years of experience supporting trading systems and a strong background in Linux, FIX and troubleshooting within an electronic trading environment.

Relocation to Abu Dhabi is available for the right candidate.
