Job summary

ADNOC Drilling Company in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Wireline maintenance technician to perform redressing and maintenance of wireline tools to enable safe, timely wireline operations. You will support tool repair, inventory control and compliance with HSE standards in an on-site environment.

Ideal candidates hold a technical diploma or vocational qualification with around 4 years of related experience, and can manage routine inspections and tool readiness across facilities.

• Technical Diploma or Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in the relevant field
• 4 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Follow Wireline Operation procedures and Wireline Tools specifications.
• Carry out redressing maintenance and repair of all Wireline tools.
• Maintain Wireline Store and report stock levels for spare parts.
• Check all new tools and equipment coming to Wireline Store are as per PO and update the Inventory.
• Support crews to perform required repair for tools in case of emergency.
• Carry out redress of Safety Valves as needed.
• Update colour codes on lifting equipment per company standard.
• Report shortages of tools, parts or any equipment deficiencies.
• Monitor and ensure Down Hole Tools are tested and certified every 6 months.
• Check and carry out inspections like NDT and MPI as per contract requirements.
• Prepare for Surface Pressure Tests for all Monthly Surface Pressure Equipment.

Job Purpose

Perform all redressing and maintenance for all Wireline tools in order to execute the wireline operations safely and on time.

Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)

• Follow Wireline Operation procedures and Wireline Tools specifications.
• Carry out redressing maintenance and repair of all Wireline tools.
• Maintain Wireline Store and report stock levels for spare parts.
• Check all the new Tools and equipment coming to Wireline Store is as per PO and update the Inventory.
• Support the crews to perform the required repair for tools in case of emergency.
• Carry out redress Safety Valves whenever brought from location.
• Append the changes in the colour code of all Lifting Equipment as per company standard.
• Report shortage of tools, parts or any deficiencies regarding equipment and safety issues.
• Monitor and ensure all the Down Hole Tools are tested and certified every 6 months before expiry date.
• Check and carry out the inspection like NDT and MPI Inspection of tools as per contract requirement.
• Prepare for Surface Pressure Tests for all Monthly Surface Pressure Equipment.

Training

• Provide on-the-job Training to meet Competency Based Training programs for UAE Nationalization.

Tool Box

• Maintain all tools, safety gear and equipment provided by company safely and in working condition.
• Arrange for repair or replacement of any tools and safety gear that may not be in good working condition.

Time Management

• Carry out all maintenance jobs in line with assigned time standards.
• Inform the Maintenance Supervisor in case additional resources are required to carry out the job within the assigned time frame.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to the identification of areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in the operating procedures, modification of functional processes, machinery or equipment.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

• Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
• Participate in Emergency Response duties as a team member.

Housekeeping

• Maintain the work environment clean and tidy before, during and after executing the job, in line with established standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping.

Reports

• Collect technical data from the field as required and provide inputs to prepare Section progress reports for Company Management.
• Provide input for the preparation of Method statements and initiate Near Miss reports.

Contact with line Manager/ peers and other employees within the company/Group as required

External Communications & Working Relationships

Contact with external parties including consultants, third party service providers, and government agencies as required

Minimum Qualification

Technical Diploma or Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in the relevant field
