Job summary

Galaxy Metal Industries in the United Arab Emirates seeks TIG welders/fabricators to join its steel and aluminum fabrication team in Dubai. You will lay out, cut, and fit metal parts, then perform TIG welding to exact specifications across various positions.

The role requires reading blueprints with precision, attention to detail, and the ability to handle up to 60 lbs and varied postures. Safety, PPE use, and clean workspace are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in TIG welding, typically with specialized knowledge in stainless steel fabrication.
• Strong ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• High level of precision and attention to detail, particularly in thin-gauge metal.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 60 lbs, and work in varied positions.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, measure, cut, and fit metal components using tools like band saws, grinders, drills, and clamps.
• Perform high-quality TIG (GTAW) welding on stainless steel, aluminum, or carbon steel, often in various positions (flat, vertical, overhead).
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to fabricate parts to specifications.
• Inspect completed welds for defects, ensuring they are clean and meet quality codes/tolerances (using calipers, micrometer, gauges).
• Maintain and clean welding equipment, including adjusting gas gauges and maintaining TIG torches.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations (5S/WCM), including wearing PPE and maintaining a clean, safe workspace.
