Job summary

Polar Specialized Industries LLC is seeking an experienced TIG & ARC Welder in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role requires minimum 5 years of pressure vessel or heavy fabrication welding, with expertise in TIG/GTAW, SMAW, and MIG/GMAW across carbon steel, stainless, duplex, and nickel alloys.

You will interpret WPS/PQR and welding symbols and perform welds in all positions, including 6G, ensuring compliance with ASME and PED standards.

Qualifications

• ITI or Welding Certificate required.
• Minimum 5 years welding experience in pressure vessels or heavy fabrication.
• Strong experience with TIG/GTAW, SMAW, and MIG/GMAW welding processes.
• Ability to weld multiple metallurgies including carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex, super duplex, and nickel alloys.
• Knowledge of WPS, PQR, welding symbols, drawings, ASME/PED requirements, and NDE criteria.

Responsibilities

• Perform fit-up and welding of pressure vessels and piping.
• Weld in all positions (1G to 6G) including overhead and confined spaces.
• Interpret WPS, PQR, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
• Ensure welds meet RT, UT, PT, MT/NDE criteria and post-weld requirements.
• Coordinate with fabricators, inspectors, and supervisors during welding and inspection.
