Job summary

Qualifications

• High school or technical qualification required; ITI or diploma preferred.
• At least 3 years of fabrication experience in heavy industry.
• Experience in pressure vessel fabrication preferred.
• Able to read fabrication drawings and WPS requirements.
• Skilled in grinding, gouging, gas cutting, pug cutting, and material prep.
• Physically fit for confined spaces and heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in fabricating heavy pressure vessels, columns, reactors, heat exchangers.
• Perform heavy grinding on plates and pipes.
• Carry out nozzle cut-outs per drawings.
• Prepare weld edges with chip-back grinding.
• Gouging, gas cutting, pug cutting, and edge prep for plates/pipes.
• Support fit-up for seams and nozzles; assist welders.
• Operate grinders and workshop machinery safely.
• Maintain organized, clean, safe work area; follow safety procedures.

# Assistant FabricatorHome/Culture & Careers/Career Opportunities/Assistant Fabricator**Location:** Abu Dhabi, UAE**Experience:** Minimum 3 years**Type:** Full-Time#### About the RolePSI is looking for an experienced Assistant Fabricator to support heavy fabrication activities involving pressure vessels, columns, reactors, heat exchangers, piping, and related industrial equipment.The role requires practical experience in heavy plate and pipe grinding, nozzle cut-outs, chip-back grinding, gouging, gas cutting, pug cutting, material preparation, and fit-up support.
