Job summary

NMDC Energy seeks a qualified 3rd Engineer for DP2 vessel operations in the UAE. You will assist the 2nd Engineer in daily engine room tasks and vessel activities, maintain engine room and deck machinery, and ensure safe oil transfer and bunkering. You will support PMS, monitor safety systems, and help train crew in safety and emergency response.

With a minimum of 2 years’ DP2 experience, you will contribute to recording logs, maintaining spares, and promoting a strong safety culture onboard.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Marine/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Valid 3E/2E License with Certificate of Competency (COC).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as 3rd Engineer on DP2 vessels (Heavy Lift / Pipelay / Cable Lay / Diving).

Responsibilities

• Assist the 2nd Engineer in daily engine room operations and vessel activities as per company procedures
• Ensure proper maintenance and smooth functioning of engine room and deck machinery
• Monitor machinery and safety systems to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Support Planned Maintenance System (PMS) and handle breakdown maintenance when required
• Maintain records, logs, and inventory of engine room spares and equipment
• Ensure safe oil transfer and bunkering operations
• Train and guide crew on safety procedures, pollution prevention systems and emergency response
• Assist in risk assessments, safety briefings, and promote a strong safety culture onboard

Education
