Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or information systems field.
- 15+ years of experience in Oil & Gas, energy, petrochemical or major infrastructure projects.
- 7+ years in Digitalization, Information Management or Smart Asset implementation.
- Proven experience in Greenfield Offshore EPC/EPCI projects.
- Experience with Digital Twin and Asset Information Management implementations.
- Ability to lead digitalization strategy and governance aligned with ADNOC standards.

- Define digital engineering requirements, workflows, data standards and governance frameworks.
- Coordinate project digital execution plans across EPC contractors and vendors.
- Lead implementation of Digital Engineering and Smart Asset methodologies for greenfield offshore facilities.
- Develop and maintain Project Information Models (PIM) and Asset Information Models (AIM).
- Define metadata standards, data taxonomy and information classification schemes.
- Coordinate integration between engineering design systems, DMS, asset management, and analytics platforms.

KBR Abu Dhabi PMC Team is currently seeking experienced professionals for the position listed below in support of a major Offshore Project. The role will be based at either the Clients Office or the Contractors Office in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Job Purpose
The Specialist Digitalization Engineer (Greenfield) is responsible for leading and coordinating digital engineering, information management, smart asset, and digital transformation initiatives during the execution of the Offshore Project. The role ensures seamless integration of digital tools, engineering data, asset information models, digital twin solutions, and operational readiness requirements throughout the project lifecycle from FEED through EPC, commissioning, start-up, and handover.
The position plays a critical role in establishing ADNOCs digital asset foundation and ensuring that all engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning data are structured and delivered to support future operations, maintenance, reliability, and asset performance management.
- Develop and implement project digitalization strategies in line with ADNOC Offshore standards and digital transformation objectives.
- Define digital engineering requirements, workflows, data standards and governance frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC Information Management and Digitalization requirements.
- Establish project digital execution plans and monitor implementation across EPC contractors and vendors.
- Lead implementation of Digital Engineering and Smart Asset methodologies for greenfield offshore facilities.
- Ensure engineering data, vendor data, and project documentation are captured in accordance with project information standards.
- Develop and maintain Project Information Models (PIM) and Asset Information Models (AIM).
- Define metadata standards, data taxonomy, coding structures and information classification schemes.
- Manage engineering information throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support implementation of Digital Twin and Smart Asset initiatives for offshore platforms and associated facilities.
- Ensure design and engineering deliverables are suitable for Digital Twin deployment and lifecycle management.
- Coordinate integration of engineering models, operational data and maintenance information.
- Support digitization of asset performance and operational readiness requirements.

- Conduct periodic audits and assessments of digital deliverables.
- Monitor completeness, consistency and accuracy of engineering and asset data.
- Manage data cleansing, validation and migration activities.
- Ensure digital deliverables are aligned with construction and commissioning requirements.
- Support development of asset registers and equipment master data.
- Coordinate digital asset readiness activities during commissioning and start-up phases.
- Lead preparation and verification of digital handover packages to operations.
- Validate final data delivery and operational information readiness.
- Develop digital performance dashboards and project reporting tools.
- Monitor digitalization KPIs and project information maturity.
- Support analysis of engineering and operational data.
- Generate management reports related to digital transformation progress.
- Support implementation of cybersecurity requirements for digital systems.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC digital governance frameworks and industry best practices.
- Participate in project audits, assurance reviews and digitalization assessments.
Bachelors Degree in:
- Computer Engineering
- Information Systems
- Instrumentation & Control Engineering

- Computer Science
- Other relevant engineering discipline
Masters Degree in Digital Engineering, Data Management, Information Systems or related discipline is advantageous.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Petrochemical or Major Infrastructure Projects.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Digitalization, Information Management, Digital Engineering or Smart Asset implementation.
- Proven experience in Greenfield Offshore EPC/EPCI projects.
- Experience supporting large ADNOC, Saudi Aramco, QatarEnergy, Shell, BP, TotalEnergies, ExxonMobil or similar projects is preferred.
- Experience in project execution from FEED to Start-up and Operations Handover.
- Demonstrated experience with Digital Twin and Asset Information Management implementation.
