Job summary

Zayed Sports City is seeking a versatile Racquet Sports professional to support the Racquet Sports Manager in planning, administering and delivering Tournaments and coaching across tennis and pickleball. The role involves coordinating schedules, registrations, court allocations and event logistics for national and international events.

You will lead coaching sessions, assist with academy operations, and help drive player development across junior and adult programs while coordinating with clubs,

Qualifications

• Tennis coaching qualification and relevant coaching experience, strong knowledge of tennis rules and tournament formats, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage players, staff and multiple courts during busy tournaments and events.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate ZSC tournaments, leagues and competitions.
• Prepare tournament draws, formats, schedules, order of play and court allocations.
• Manage player registrations, check-in, results and tournament records.
• Coordinate players, parents, coaches, officials and court supervisors.
• Manage tournament-day operations and ensure matches run according to schedule.
• Communicate tournament information, schedules and updates to players and parents.
• Ensure tournament rules, scoring, safeguarding and safety procedures are followed.
• Coordinate courts, tennis balls, equipment, trophies and other event requirements.
• Support finals, prize-giving and post-event reporting.
• Work closely with the UAE Tennis Federation, coordinating sanctioned tournaments, competition calendars, registrations and requirements.
• Support the Racquet Sports Manager in attracting and delivering additional national and international tournaments at ZSC.
• Lead the Ball Kids Programme, including recruitment, training, assessments, attendance and preparation for major tournaments and events.
• Deliver private and group coaching sessions as required.
• Support academy assessments, camps, clinics, social events and player development activities.
• Assist the Racquet Sports Manager and coaching team with general academy operations and administration.
• Support the delivery and development of pickleball programmes and activities at ZSC.
• Assist with pickleball social sessions, clinics, tournaments and community events.
• Support player registrations, scheduling and coordination of pickleball activities.
• Support the Racquet Sports Manager with growing participation and promoting racquet sports across ZSC.
• Support the delivery of junior and adult tennis programmes across all levels.
• Deliver group, private and semi-private coaching sessions when required.
• Assist with player assessments and level placement for juniors and adults.
• Support the Racquet Sports Manager with player development and progression within the Academy.
• Assist with holiday camps, clinics, social tennis and Academy events.
• Support match play and competition preparation for Academy players.
• Provide feedback on players’ technical, tactical and match-play development.
• Help maintain a positive, professional and inclusive coaching environment.
• Support the coaching team during busy Academy periods and coach absences.
• Build positive communication with players and parents and support player retention and engagement.
