Job summary

DBB is seeking a Temporary Works Engineer to support roads, marine, and infrastructure projects in the United Arab Emirates. The role involves planning, coordinating, and overseeing safe temporary works design and implementation to meet project requirements and health and safety standards.

You will assess site conditions, develop buildable solutions, and ensure proper documentation, checks, and approvals are completed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
Experience in temporary works on roads, marine, or major infrastructure projects.
Familiarity with design principles, codes and standards for temporary works.
Experience reviewing calculations, drawings, risk assessments and method statements.
Knowledge of excavation support, formwork, falsework, access systems, lifting operations and site logistics.

Responsibilities

Identify temporary works requirements across project activities and interfaces.
Prepare, review, or coordinate designs, calculations, drawings and method statements.
Assess site conditions, loads, sequences, and interfaces for solutions.
Maintain temporary works registers, design briefs and approvals.
Coordinate with project managers, design teams, contractors and authorities.
Ensure designs are checked and approved before implementation.
Monitor installation, inspection, and dismantling per approved procedures.
Conduct site inspections and support audits for compliance and risk.
