Job summary

DBB in the UAE is seeking a Facade Engineer to support design, coordination, and delivery of façade systems for roads, marine, and infrastructure projects. The role emphasizes practical, safe, and compliant solutions aligned with environmental conditions and standards, while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, suppliers, and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in civil/architectural/structural engineering.
• Experience with façade engineering for infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of façade systems and building codes.
• Coastal or marine durability experience.
• Ability to read multidisciplinary drawings.
• Experience reviewing submittals and shop drawings.
• Proficiency in design software; BIM a plus.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Professional registration or progress toward accreditation is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Design and coordinate façade and building-envelope systems for infrastructure facilities.
• Review drawings to identify interfaces and conflicts.
• Prepare layouts, details, specs, calculations, and material schedules.
• Coordinate façade with roads, marine, structural, MEP, and architectural teams.
• Assess durability and corrosion resistance for coastal environments.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, samples, and test plans.
• Support tendering and procurement with technical docs.
• Monitor installation and site quality; resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with project specs, codes, safety, and quality.
• Track changes, risks, and non-conformances; support closeout.
• Contribute to design reviews, VE, constructability, and handover docs.
