Role Overview
LEAMS Education is hiring an immediately available teacher to deliver Moral, Social and Cultural Studies (MSC) within a British curriculum secondary school. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging lessons, maintain continuity of learning, and support students throughout the temporary assignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver MSC lessons for secondary school students.
- Follow approved curriculum plans, schemes of work, and learning objectives.
- Teach moral education, social studies, cultural awareness, citizenship, and related topics.
- Prepare lesson materials, classroom activities, assignments, and assessments.
- Use discussions, presentations, research, case studies, and collaborative activities to support learning.
- Adapt teaching methods for students with different abilities and learning requirements.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, inclusive, and well‑managed classroom.
- Assess student understanding through classwork, homework, projects, tests, and presentations.
- Provide timely feedback and support students requiring additional assistance.
- Maintain accurate attendance, attainment, assessment, and progress records.
- Follow school policies covering safeguarding, behaviour, assessment, and academic integrity.
- Coordinate with subject leaders and teaching colleagues to maintain curriculum continuity.
- Communicate relevant academic or behavioural concerns to school leadership.
- Support assemblies, cultural activities, school events, and related student programmes when required.
- Use educational technology and digital resources to improve student engagement.
- Complete marking, reporting, and administrative duties within required deadlines.
- Carry out other reasonable teaching responsibilities assigned by school leadership.
Ideal Profile
- Master’s degree in a relevant subject.
- Bachelor of Education qualification mandatory.
- Relevant experience teaching secondary school students.
- British curriculum teaching experience strongly preferred.
- Sound understanding of Moral, Social and Cultural Studies.
- Strong lesson planning, classroom management, and assessment skills.
- Ability to take responsibility for existing classes with minimal transition time.
- Clear spoken and written English communication.
- Professional and collaborative approach when working with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Understanding of safeguarding, inclusion, and student wellbeing requirements.
- Candidates holding their own visa preferred.
- Immediate availability required.
- Ability to complete a temporary teaching assignment reliably and professionally.
