Job summary

AccorHotel in Dubai is seeking a skilled Tile Technician to install tiles on floors, walls and countertops, blending artistry with technical precision.

You will prepare surfaces, cut and shape tiles, apply adhesives and grouts, work independently to high standards, and support opening tasks as needed. Immediate joiner preferred; diploma in mechanical or electrical is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical.
• Minimum 3 years in a similar role.
• Preferably immediate joiner.

Responsibilities

• Install tiles on floors, walls and countertops with precision.
• Prepare surfaces, cut and shape tiles, apply adhesive and grout.
• Work independently to high standards.
• Assist in Task Force Teams for new openings.
• Carry out other reasonable tasks as assigned.

Job description

• Responsible for the installation of tile on various surfaces such as floors walls and countertops. This role requires a blend of artistry and technical precision with a keen eye for detail to create visually appealing and durable surface.
• Preparing surfaces cutting and shaping tiles applying adhesive and grouts and ensuring all work meets or exceeds industry standard for quality and safety.
• Performs the tasks assigned to him and to the highest standards ensures their implementation while working independently.
• Acts on issues and concerns in his activity field immediately.
• Must be able to control the stocks and other items in his workshop and order more as required.
• Abides to the daily task and ensures timely implementation.
• Checks extra needs of a guest.
• Ensures oneself is thoroughly familiar with the hotels emergency procedures and in a state of preparedness for any emergency which may occur.
• Is familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the relevant Operational Standards Manual for his/her field of responsibility.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Assist in Task Force Teams for new openings
• Carry out any other reasonable task (which may not be stated here) as requested.
