Job summary

AccorHotels Middle East is seeking a skilled technician to install and repair tiles across hotel spaces in Dubai. You will prepare surfaces, cut and fit tiles, apply adhesives and grouts, and ensure finishes meet high standards of quality and safety.

The role requires a Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar position. The ideal candidate can work independently, manage stock, and support new openings with a proactive, safety‑minded approach.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Mechanical or Electrical required.
• Minimum 3 years in a similar tile/maintenance role.
• Immediate joiner preferred if possible.

Responsibilities

• Install tiles on floors, walls and countertops with precision and craft.
• Prepare surfaces, cut and shape tiles, apply adhesive and grout, ensuring high-quality finishes.
• Work independently, manage stock, and order supplies as needed.
• Assist in Task Force Teams for new openings and other duties as assigned.
• Follow hotel safety procedures and be prepared for emergencies.

Job Description

• Responsible for the installation of tile on various surfaces such as floors, walls, and countertops. This role requires a blend of artistry and technical precision, with a keen eye for detail to create visually appealing and durable surface.
• Preparing surfaces, cutting and shaping tiles, applying adhesive and grouts, and ensuring all work meets or exceeds industry standard for quality and safety.
• Performs the tasks assigned to him and to the highest standards ensures their implementation while working independently.
• Acts on issues and concerns in his activity field immediately.
• Must be able to control the stocks and other items in his workshop and order more as required.
• Abides to the daily task and ensures timely implementation.
• Checks extra needs of a guest.
• Ensures oneself is thoroughly familiar with the hotel’s emergency procedures and in a state of preparedness for any emergency which may occur.
• Is familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the relevant Operational Standards Manual for his/her field of responsibility.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Assist in Task Force Teams for new openings
• Carry out any other reasonable task (which may not be stated here) as requested.
