Job summary

Accor in Dubai seeks a skilled Tile Installer to join our maintenance team. You will install tiles on floors, walls, and countertops with emphasis on durability and aesthetics while adhering to safety standards.

Requirements include a Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical and at least 3 years in a similar role. Immediate joiner preferred and the ability to work independently within a fast-paced hotel environment.

• Minimum 3 years in a similar role.
• Preferably immediate joiner.

Responsibilities

• Install tiles on floors, walls and countertops with precision and an eye for aesthetics.
• Prepare surfaces, cut tiles, apply adhesive and grout to meet quality and safety standards.
• Work independently to complete assigned tasks to the highest standards.
• Monitor stock levels of tiles and supplies and reorder as required.
• Follow hotel procedures and be prepared for emergencies and operational standards.

Job Description

• Responsible for the installation of tile on various surfaces such as floors, walls, and countertops. This role requires a blend of artistry and technical precision, with a keen eye for detail to create visually appealing and durable surface.
• Preparing surfaces, cutting and shaping tiles, applying adhesive and grouts, and ensuring all work meets or exceeds industry standard for quality and safety.
• Performs the tasks assigned to him and to the highest standards ensures their implementation while working independently.
• Acts on issues and concerns in his activity field immediately.
• Must be able to control the stocks and other items in his workshop and order more as required.
• Abides to the daily task and ensures timely implementation.
• Checks extra needs of a guest.
• Ensures oneself is thoroughly familiar with the hotel’s emergency procedures and in a state of preparedness for any emergency which may occur.
• Is familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the relevant Operational Standards Manual for his/her field of responsibility.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Assist in Task Force Teams for new openings
• Carry out any other reasonable task (which may not be stated here) as requested.
