Job summary

AccorHotels Middle East is seeking a skilled Maintenance Painter to decorate guest rooms, corridors and shared spaces within our hotel portfolio in Dubai. The role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint or wallpaper and keeping work areas safe and organized.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical fields and at least 2 years of experience. Fluency in English is required to communicate with guests and colleagues, and to follow hotel safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical.
• Minimum 2 years in a similar role.
• Should be able to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Painting and decorating guest rooms, corridors and shared spaces.
• Prepping surfaces and applying paint, wallpaper or finishes.
• Keeping your work area tidy and safe.
• Reporting any maintenance issues you spot.
• Working closely with the maintenance team to keep everything in top shape.
• Performs the tasks assigned to him and to the highest standards ensuring their implementation while working independently.
• Acts on issues and concerns in his activity field immediately.
• Must be able to control the stocks and other items in his workshop and order more as required.
• Abides to the daily task and ensures timely implementation.
• Checks extra needs of a guest.
• Ensures oneself is thoroughly familiar with the hotel’s emergency procedures and in a state of preparedness for any emergency which may occur.
• Is familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the relevant Operational Standards Manual for his/her field of responsibility.
• Other duties as assigned.
