Job summary

ACWA Power in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced maintenance professional for outage support, equipment installation and mechanical overhaul activities. The role focuses on adherence to standard operating procedures and industry best practices to ensure reliability and cost-effectiveness.

You will check stock levels, update logs, and participate in daily progress reporting while coordinating with mechanical supervisors, engineers and external teams to deliver safe and compliant

Qualifications

• Degree or associate degree in Technical Field, Gas Turbine Systems Technician preferred
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience maintaining, dismantling, and installing machinery and industrial service equipment including pumps, motors, fans, generators, turbines
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings

Responsibilities

• Check stock levels of consumables to enable outage manager’s inventory control and timely re-ordering
• Update maintenance logbook and record details of work, daily progress, measurement protocols and conditions of machines
• Sign attendance sheets for daily site, meetings and Toolbox talks
• Contribute to change initiatives and projects in line with organisation standards
• Adhere to HSSE and quality procedures to ensure safe, compliant work practices
• Perform other duties as required by the outage manager
• Work with mechanical supervisors, engineers and supervisors in outage teams
• May collaborate with subcontracted labour, helpers or OEM representatives

Job description

To carry out maintenance, modification, overhauling and installation activities on the mechanical machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures and industry best practices, HSE guidelines and quality standards to attain cost-effectiveness, functionality and reliability.

Key Accountabilities

Check the necessary stock levels of consumables to enable the Outage manager’s effective inventory control and timely re-ordering.

Documentation

• Update the maintenance logbook and record details of work carried out including daily progress report, filling out measurement protocols, defaults, problems, various findings and conditions of all machines to ensure timely availability of information and organised referencing.
• Sign the daily site-, meeting- and Toolbox talk attendance sheets.

Contribute to the identification and implementation of change initiatives, programmes and projects in line with the organisation’s standards.

Adhere to all relevant organisational and departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner.

Adhere to all relevant health, safety, security and environmental procedures, instructions and controls so that the safety of employees and environmental compliance can be guaranteed.

Perform any other duties which the outage manager may require to be carried out.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Degree or associate degree in Technical Field, Gas Turbine Systems Technician preferred
• Must have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience maintaining, dismantling, and installing machinery and industrial service equipment including various pumps, motors, fans, generators, and turbines.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
