Job summary

Tanqeeb in Abu Dhabi is seeking a skilled field inspector to support right-of-way compliance, asset management, and public safety objectives. You will plan weekly inspection programs across zones, coordinate with agencies, and generate reports with photos and observations.

The role requires a Diploma in civil or transportation engineering and 4+ years of related experience; 7+ years if a High School path. You will work outdoors in varied conditions, utilize AI-based tools and digital mapping,

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute weekly inspection programs across assigned zones for right-of-way compliance, asset management and public safety.
• Audit infrastructure elements and coordinate remedial actions with agencies.
• Inspect post-completion utility works and prepare snag reports with photos.
• Record violations, observations and actions in digital inspection systems for traceability.
• Coordinate with Police, Recovery Services and internal stakeholders during emergencies/incidents.
• Investigate public complaints and attend emergency alerts to resolve onsite issues.

Strategy

• Plan and execute structured weekly inspection programs to support right-of-way compliance, asset management, and public safety objectives.
• Identify and report persistent or high-risk violations, providing predictive insights to strengthen planning and enforcement across critical zones.

Operations

• Implement weekly inspection programs across assigned zones, covering diversions, permits, advertisements, temporary access, and illegal occupations.
• Conduct systematic audits of infrastructure elements (asphalt, footpaths, signs, markings, tunnels, lighting) and coordinate remedial actions with relevant agencies.
• Inspect post-completion utility works (e.g., DEWA, Etisalat, DM), prepare snag reports with photographic documentation, and monitor rectification progress.
• Record and track violations, observations, photos, and follow-up actions in digital inspection systems(e.g., sTafteesh) for traceability and enforcement.
• Coordinate with Dubai Police, Recovery Services, DM Environmental Department, and internal stakeholders during emergencies/incidents (e.g., debris clearance, flooding, vehicle accidents, unauthorized parking).
• Investigate public complaints, attend emergency alerts (24/7) from supervisors/Call Centres, resolve onsite issues, and update stakeholders through reports
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly inspection reports detailing actions taken, rectifications, and compliance status.

Product/Process Improvement

• Apply AI-based inspection tools and digital mapping systems to detect violations, optimize route coverage, and identify repeat offenders.
• Enter and analyze inspection data in centralized dashboards; contribute recommendations to improve inspection coverage, reporting templates, and inter-agency coordination.

Physical Working Conditions

• Field-intensive role with continuous outdoor exposure, varying site conditions, and requirements for emergency response at any time.

Education: Diploma in civil engineering, transportation engineering or a related field

Experience: 4+ years in case of Technical Diploma (7+ years in case of High School) in related area
