Job summary

Rixos Al Mairid is seeking an Electrical Technician to join our Engineering team. The role ensures seamless operation of electrical systems across the hotel while delivering safe, efficient, and guest-focused service in line with Rixos standards.

Responsibilities include preventive/corrective maintenance, safety compliance, and supporting emergency procedures. The ideal candidate has a diploma/certificate in electrical engineering and 3+ years in hospitality roles.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in a similar role, hotel/hospitality preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety procedures, and preventive maintenance.
• Good English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a multicultural team.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Physically fit for extended standing, outdoor duties, and rescues.
• Demonstrates teamwork and professionalism under pressure.
• Committed to hygiene, safety, and guest satisfaction.
• Willing to participate in training and drills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all electrical systems across the hotel complex
• Ensure all electrical works are executed to the highest professional and safety standards
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and technical issues
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and installations
• Support emergency response procedures and ensure full compliance with fire & life safety standards
• Maintain workshop inventory and ensure proper stock control of materials
• Ensure adherence to Rixos Policies & Procedures and ISO standards (Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental, Food Safety)

Desired Candidate Profile

• Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering or related field
