ADNOC Drilling Company in Abu Dhabi is seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician responsible for maintenance of Wireline/Slickline units, trucks, cranes and light vehicles. You will perform daily and monthly maintenance, pre-job checks, on-site repairs, and stock planning to ensure reliable operations.

The role requires a Diploma in a technical field and at least 3 years of experience with slickline units and heavy/light vehicles; basic English skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma in technical field is required.
• Basic spoken and written English is expected.
• 3 years’ experience in slickline units, light and heavy vehicles.
• Familiar with maintenance procedures and repairs.

Responsabilités

• Completely responsible for mechanical works and maintenance of Wireline/Slickline Units, Trucks and Crane.
• Carry out Monthly Maintenance of trucks, cranes and units.
• Pre-Job-check, After Job check for all Wireline Units, Trucks and Light Vehicles.
• Go to Location and Rig for required repairs on units/trucks/cranes/vehicles.
• Daily reporting on shortages, safety issues and tool parts.
• Ensure operations measurements follow company procedures and standards.
• Preview stocks and order spare parts as required.
• Follow up with suppliers on orders and changes.
• Maintain all vehicles in good condition with timely service.
• Check Vehicle Checklists filled by Drivers daily.
• Provide feedback to improve mechanical work quality.
• Train field crew on operating mechanical equipment and routine checks/ servicing.
• Comply with UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling and client Asset Integrity Management codes.

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for all mechanical related jobs for Wireline/Slickline Units, Trucks, Cranes and all Light Vehicles.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Job Specific Accountabilities

• Completely responsible for all Mechanical works and Maintenance of all Wireline/Slickline Units, Trucks and Crane in Workshop or on the field.
• Carry out Monthly Maintenance of trucks, cranes and units.
• Apply and fill required checklists - Daily, Monthly and Yearly as per required.
• Pre-Job-check, After Job check for all Wireline Units, Trucks and Light Vehicles.
• Go to Location and Rig whenever called and make the required repair for all units/ trucks /cranes /vehicles.
• Daily reporting to Base/Field Supervisor in case of shortage of tools, parts or any deficiencies regarding equipment and safety issues.
• Ensure that all Operations measurements and computations are carried out according to company procedures and standards.
• Preview Stocks Items required for Mechanical Spare Parts and to make order as per requirement due in advance.
• Responsible Follow up with suppliers the Orders, Changes and up gradation for all units.
• Make sure the entire Heavy and Light Vehicles are always maintained in well condition with proper service timely.
• Check all the Vehicle Checklists that properly filled by the Drivers daily.
• Supply comments and suggestions to improve work quality for mechanical issues.
• Training field crew on proper operating mechanical equipment and performing routine checks/servicing for mechanical units.
• Comply with all UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling and client Asset Integrity Management codes of practice.
• Performs other similar or related duties as assigned by Supervisor.

• Provide on-the-job Training to meet Competency Based Training programs for UAE Nationalization.

Tool Box

• Maintain all tools, safety gear and equipment provided by company safely and in working condition.
• Arrange for repair or replacement of any tools and safety gear that may not be in good working condition.

Time Management

• Carry out all maintenance jobs in line with assigned time standards.
• Inform the Maintenance Supervisor in case additional resources are required to carry out the job within the assigned time frame.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to the identification of areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in the operating procedures, modification of functional processes, machinery or equipment.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

• Support the institution of an HSE culture and ensure compliance with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines across the Division in line with international standards, best practices and Corporate Code of Practices and to ensure integrity and safety of assets.

Housekeeping

• Maintain the work environment clean and tidy before, during and after executing the job, in line with established standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping.

Reports

• Collect technical data from the field as required and provide inputs to prepare Section progress reports for Company Management.
• Provide input for the preparation of Method statements and initiate Near Miss reports.

COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Internal

• Regular contacts with base supervisor and all drivers.
• Contact with BAO or Mussafah workshop in case of support.

External

• None.

Minimum Qualification

• Diploma in technical field.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

• 3 years’ experience in slickline units, light and heavy vehicles.
• Familiar with maintenance procedures.
• Fully conversant with repairing and solving different vehicles defects.
• Fully conversant with company standards and operational procedures.
• Basic knowledge of spoken and written English.
