Job summary

ADNOC Drilling Company in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to install, maintain, and repair rotating equipment and machinery. The role emphasizes preventive and corrective maintenance, with involvement in start-ups, shutdowns, and major turnarounds.

Training on competency-based programs will support UAE nationalization efforts. Ideal candidates have a technical diploma or equivalent vocational trade certificate and at least 4 years of heavy equipment mechanical repairs

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine, preventive and predictive maintenance checks and tests on machinery according to schedules to ensure equipment operates smoothly.
• Carry out corrective maintenance by dismantling, replacing components and repairing defective equipment.
• Perform tests and monitor performance during start-up and report readings outside tolerable limits.
• Assist with new installations and modifications to systems and machinery, and support during start-up and shutdown of critical equipment.
• Participate in annual shutdowns or major equipment turnarounds in the plant.
• Coordinate removal of major equipment or sub-assemblies for repair or overhaul and reassemble after work.
• Maintain tools and safety gear, arranging repairs or replacements as needed.
• Keep time standards for maintenance jobs and notify supervisor if additional resources are required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in operating procedures and equipment performance.
• Comply with HSE policies and participate in emergency response duties as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and contribute to accurate data collection for progress reports.

Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)

Maintenance

• Carry out routine, preventive and predictive maintenance checks and tests on machinery and equipment according to schedules and check lists to ensure that the equipment are operating smoothly and as per requirement.
• Carry out a wide range of corrective maintenance by dismantling, assembling, replacing components in order to repair defective equipment.
• Carry out necessary tests and performance monitoring upon start-up, ensuring to report where readings are outside tolerable limits.
• Carry out new installations and modifications to systems, equipment and machinery, and assist during the start-up and shutdown of critical equipment and systems.
• Participate in annual shutdown or major equipment turnarounds in the Plant.
• Coordinate where major equipment or sub-assembles have to be removed to the workshop for major repairs or overhaul and carries out repair or replacement before reassembling.

• Arrange for repair or replacement of any tools and safety gear that may not be in good working condition.

• Carry out all maintenance jobs in line with assigned time standards.
• Inform the Maintenance Supervisor in case additional resources are required to carry out the job within the assigned time frame.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to the identification of areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in the operating procedures, modification of functional processes, machinery or equipment.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

• Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
• Participate in Emergency Response duties as a team member.

Housekeeping

• Maintain the work environment clean and tidy before, during and after executing the job, in line with established standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping.

Reports

• Collect technical data from the field as required and provide inputs to prepare Section progress reports for Company Management.
• Provide input for the preparation of Method statements and initiate Near Miss reports.

Minimum Qualification
