Job summary

Tanqeeb in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Technician in our Bus Division to service and repair heavy commercial vehicles in the workshop and on-site, ensuring first-time fixes and uptime.

You will handle diagnostics, replace wear parts, and respond to 24/7 emergency breakdowns, collaborating with Foreman and Service Advisors. UAE driving licence advantageous; Arabic a plus.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate or diploma in mechanical or automotive engineering.
• 4–5 years hands-on experience with heavy commercial vehicles.
• UAE driving licence is an advantage.
• Arabic is an advantage.
• Willingness to support emergency and out-of-hours breakdowns.
• Good communication in English.

• Carry out vehicle servicing and the checks needed for trouble-free operation.
• Replace wear components such as brake pads, air bellows, belts and pulleys.
• Identify potential problems early while working on jobs in the workshop and on site.
• Follow best practice and service manual procedures to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Read, understand and apply workshop manual instructions, using service checklists where available.
• Explain the work completed clearly to your Foreman and Service Advisor.
• Support customers with round-the-clock service and emergency breakdown response.

• Our bus customers run their businesses on vehicle uptime, and many are on service contracts where delays carry penalties. As a Technician in our Bus Division, you'll service and repair heavy commercial vehicles in the workshop and in the field, fixing problems right the first time. We offer 24/7 service support, so you'll also respond to emergency breakdowns when customers need us. You'll do well here if you keep your technical knowledge current and take ownership of the quality of every job.

  • You'll report to the Foreman and work closely with Service Advisors and fellow technicians in the Bus Division.
