Job summary

TalentsTide seeks an experienced Technical Manager (office-based) to lead the technical function for a Dubai contracting company. You will oversee the technical department across multiple projects, coordinating Architectural, Structural, Civil, MEP and other teams to ensure buildable, compliant and efficient delivery.

The role requires 12–18+ years in construction, strong leadership and UAE regulatory knowledge. BIM/Revit/AutoCAD experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Structural Engineering or related field is required.
• 12–18+ years of experience in construction/main contracting.
• Strong UAE construction experience and familiarity with local codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Technical Department across multiple projects.

• Review and approve IFC drawings, shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs.

We are looking for an experiencedTechnical Managerto lead the technical function for a well-established contracting company in Dubai.

This is asenior office-based positionresponsible for managing technical activities across multiple construction projects, coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams, and ensuring projects are technically compliant, buildable, and delivered efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage theTechnical Departmentacross multiple projects.
• CoordinateArchitectural, Structural, Civil, MEP and other engineering disciplines.
• Review and approveIFC drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and RFIs.
• Lead technical coordination withconsultants, clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Identify and resolve technical issues before they impact construction, cost or schedule.
• Ensure compliance withUAE building codes, authority requirements, project specifications and contracts.
• Review design changes, technical proposals andvalue engineering opportunities.
• Support project teams with constructability reviews and technical solutions.
• Establish technical procedures, workflows and documentation standards.
• Monitor technical submissions, approvals and design deliverables across projects.
• Lead, mentor and developtechnical engineers, coordinators, architects and draftsmen.
• Provide technical reports, recommendations and updates to senior management.
• Participate in tender reviews and provide technical input duringpre-construction and planning stages.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree inArchitecture, Structural Engineering or related field.
• 12–18+ yearsof experience in construction / main contracting.
• Strong UAE construction experience is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in aTechnical Manager / Head of Technical / Technical Directorposition.
• Strong experience withbuilding construction projects, preferably high-rise, residential, commercial or mixed-use developments.
• Excellent knowledge ofIFC drawings, shop drawings, RFIs, material submittals and technical documentation.
• Strong understanding of UAE codes, regulations and authority approval processes.
• Proven ability to managemultidisciplinary technical teams.
• Strong consultant, client and subcontractor coordination skills.
• Experience withBIM / Revit / AutoCADis an advantage.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
