Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation engineering required.
  • Minimum 5 years E&I site experience.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Marine, Infrastructure, Defense, or EPC projects.
  • Strong vendor drawing and technical document review.
  • Proven procurement/construction support and field troubleshooting.
  • Instrument calibration, testing, and commissioning experience.
  • HSE and QA/QC compliance knowledge.
  • Excellent coordination with Civil, Mechanical, Piping, and others.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review MARs, RFQs for E&I activities.
  • Review vendor drawings and documents; coordinate comments.
  • Coordinate with all stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
  • Develop tie-in schedules for E&I installation.
  • Conduct site surveys and vendor inspections.
  • Support procurement and construction regarding E&I materials.
  • Witness E&I activities for system integrity.
  • Maintain redline drawings based on site changes.
  • Monitor daily site progress for E&I.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE, QA/QC, and project specs.
  • Prepare technical records and site reports.
  • Participate in technical meetings with clients and contractors.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced E&I Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Marine, Infrastructure, or Defense projects. The candidate will provide engineering and site technical support for Electrical & Instrumentation activities, coordinating with engineering, construction, procurement, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth and compliant project execution.The role involves reviewing technical documentation, supporting procurement and construction activities, conducting site surveys, coordinating instrumentation calibration and testing, reviewing vendor drawings and 3D models, and ensuring compliance with HSE and QA/QC requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare and review method statements, material approval requests (MARs), and subcontractor RFQs for E&I activities.
  • Review vendor drawings, technical documents, and engineering deliverables and coordinate comments with relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, procurement, vendors, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and site concerns.
  • Develop and coordinate tie-in schedules and support planning for E&I installation and execution activities.
  • Conduct site surveys and vendor inspections and provide required technical information and data.
  • Provide technical support to procurement and construction teams regarding E&I materials, equipment, and installation requirements.
  • Manage and support instrument calibration activities, including calibration checks, fault diagnosis, and troubleshooting.
  • Witness and verify E&I activities carried out by vendors and manufacturers to ensure system integrity and compliance with project requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain redline mark-up drawings based on site changes and as-built conditions.
  • Monitor and verify daily site progress reports for E&I activities.
  • Review 3D models against purchase requests/material requirements and identify and raise deviation points where applicable.
  • Identify and highlight material and technical deviations to the procurement and engineering teams for resolution.
  • Coordinate E&I activities with Civil, Mechanical, Piping, and other engineering disciplines to avoid interface issues and ensure construction readiness.
  • Support construction and commissioning teams with technical troubleshooting and field engineering assistance.
  • Ensure all E&I activities are executed in accordance with approved HSE procedures, QA/QC requirements, project specifications, and applicable standards.
  • Maintain proper technical records, inspection documentation, and site reports throughout project execution.
  • Participate in technical meetings with clients, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams as required.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant E&I engineering/site experience.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Marine, Infrastructure, Defense, or EPC projects is preferred.
  • Strong experience in vendor drawing review, technical document review, and client/contractor/subcontractor coordination.
  • Proven experience providing technical support to procurement and construction teams.
  • Hands-on experience in instrument calibration, fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and testing during construction and commissioning.
  • Experience in witnessing and verifying E&I activities with vendors and manufacturers.
  • Good understanding of E&I installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Strong multidisciplinary coordination experience with Civil, Mechanical, Piping, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Familiarity with 3D model reviews, redline mark-ups, material deviations, and site surveys.
  • Good knowledge of HSE and QA/QC procedures and their application on project sites.
  • Strong communication, coordination, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary EPC project environment.
