Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a Technical Office Engineer (Instrumentation) with 5+ years in E&I for Oil & Gas, energy, marine, or EPC projects. You will support electrical & instrumentation site activities, review drawings, coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams, and ensure QA/QC and HSE compliance.

You will conduct site surveys, vendor inspections, calibration, testing, and documentation, while maintaining interfaces with Civil, Mechanical, and Piping teams to ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant E&I engineering/site experience.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Marine, Infrastructure, Defense, or EPC projects preferred.
• Strong experience in vendor drawing review, technical document review, and client/contractor/subcontractor coordination.
• Hands-on instrument calibration, fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and testing during construction and commissioning.
• Experience witnessing and verifying E&I activities with vendors and manufacturers.
• Good knowledge of HSE and QA/QC procedures and their application on project sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review method statements, MARs, and subcontractor RFQs for E&I activities.
• Review vendor drawings, technical documents, and engineering deliverables and coordinate comments with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, procurement, vendors, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and site concerns.
• Develop and coordinate tie-in schedules and support planning for E&I installation and execution activities.

• Provide technical support to procurement and construction teams regarding E&I materials, equipment, and installation requirements.

About the job TECHNICAL OFFICE ENGINEER (INSTRUMENTATION)

We are seeking an experienced E&I Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Marine, Infrastructure, or Defense projects. The candidate will provide engineering and site technical support for Electrical & Instrumentation activities, coordinating with engineering, construction, procurement, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth and compliant project execution. The role involves reviewing technical documentation, supporting procurement and construction activities, conducting site surveys, coordinating instrumentation calibration and testing, reviewing vendor drawings and 3D models, and ensuring compliance with HSE and QA/QC requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and review method statements, material approval requests (MARs), and subcontractor RFQs for E&I activities.

• Support construction and commissioning teams with technical troubleshooting and field engineering assistance.
• Ensure all E&I activities are executed in accordance with approved HSE procedures, QA/QC requirements, project specifications, and applicable standards.
• Maintain proper technical records, inspection documentation, and site reports throughout project execution.
• Participate in technical meetings with clients, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams as required.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant E&I engineering/site experience.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Marine, Infrastructure, Defense, or EPC projects is preferred.
• Strong experience in vendor drawing review, technical document review, and client/contractor/subcontractor coordination.
• Proven experience providing technical support to procurement and construction teams.
• Hands-on experience in instrument calibration, fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and testing during construction and commissioning.
• Experience in witnessing and verifying E&I activities with vendors and manufacturers.
• Good understanding of E&I installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Strong multidisciplinary coordination experience with Civil, Mechanical, Piping, and other engineering disciplines.
• Familiarity with 3D model reviews, redline mark-ups, material deviations, and site surveys.
• Good knowledge of HSE and QA/QC procedures and their application on project sites.
• Strong communication, coordination, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary EPC project environment.
