Job summary

Azizi Developments is seeking a Technical Engineer in Dubai to review and interpret MEP drawings, prepare submittals, and ensure compliance with local and international standards for high-rise residential developments.

The role requires 8+ years in the UAE with contracting companies, strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems, and familiarity with DEWA, DCD, DM, DDA codes. You will collaborate with design consultants and site teams to resolve technical challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of UAE experience with contracting companies on building projects.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire fighting systems.
• Knowledge of UAE building codes and authority regulations (DCD, DM, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review MEP mechanical shop drawings per project specs and design intent.
• Review IFC design for authority compliance.
• Prepare engineering calculations (ESP, pump head, ventilation, pressurization, heat load).
• Ensure compliance with local authority standards (DEWA, DCD, DM, DDA) and international codes (NFPA, BS, CIBSE).
• Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and site teams to resolve technical issues.
• Review and validate shop drawings against manufacturer data and site conditions.
• Support technical submittals, material approvals, and RFIs for mechanical building services.
• Ensure documentation aligns with high-rise residential projects (20+ floors).

As a Technical Engineer, your responsibilities will include reviewing and interpreting mechanical drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for building construction projects. You will also be responsible for preparing and validating technical submittals and shop drawings related to HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
