Job summary

INJAZ in Abu Dhabi seeks a highly experienced Senior Technical Engineer with 10+ years' hands-on experience in road and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record with Abu Dhabi Municipality, Department of Municipalities and Transport, ALDAR, and related road infrastructure programs.

You will lead complex field engineering issues, review IFC drawings, coordinate with ADM/DMT and ADDC, manage shop drawings and technical submittals, and supervise utility works

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in road and infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi.
• Strong knowledge of local authority requirements and utility standards.
• Experience coordinating with ADM, DMT, ADDC and other Abu Dhabi authorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and resolve complex field engineering issues involving excavation, utilities clashes, soil conditions, drainage, and interfaces.
• Provide senior-level technical support and immediate engineering solutions for construction conflicts.
• Review construction activities and ensure compliance with approved IFC drawings, specs, method statements, and Abu Dhabi authority standards.
• Support inspection and QA/QC teams to ensure works comply with ADM/DMT, ADDC, ITC, DOT and other authority requirements.
• Supervise and coordinate utility works including drainage, potable water, stormwater, telecom, MCC, DU, Etisalat, ITC and street lighting.
• Identify technical risks and recommend practical solutions while controlling cost and schedule impacts.
• Lead preparation, review, submission, and follow-up of shop drawings, method statements, material submissions, and technical documents.
• Review consultant and authority standard drawings and propose technically and commercially viable improvements.

Seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Engineer with more than 10 years of hands-on experience in road and infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate must have a strong track record in Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM), Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), ALDAR, and/or related Abu Dhabi Road and infrastructure projects, with extensive knowledge of local authority requirements, utility standards, technical coordination, design management, and construction support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and resolve complex field engineering issues involving excavation, utilities clashes, soil conditions, drainage, and infrastructure interfaces.
• Provide senior-level technical support and immediate engineering solutions for construction conflicts.
• Review construction activities and ensure compliance with approved IFC drawings, specifications, method statements, and Abu Dhabi authority standards.
• Support inspection and QA/QC teams in ensuring works comply with ADM/DMT, ADDC, ITC, DOT, and other relevant authority requirements.
• Supervise and coordinate utility works including drainage, potable water, stormwater, telecom, MCC, DU, Etisalat, ITC, and street lighting.
• Identify technical risks and recommend practical solutions while controlling cost and schedule impacts.
• Lead the preparation, review, submission, and follow-up of shop drawings, method statements, material submissions, and technical documents.
• Review consultant and authority standard drawings and propose technically and commercially viable improvements where required.
• Lead detailed design coordination and manage design interfaces between civil, structural, utility, and other disciplines.
• Review IFC drawings and coordinate revisions, design changes, and construction requirements.
• Manage RFIs, technical queries, design clarifications, and contractor/consultant coordination.
• Lead coordination meetings with consultants, contractors, clients, and relevant authorities.
• Manage engineering deliverables, technical submittal logs, approvals, comments, and resubmissions.
• Coordinate permits and technical approvals with relevant Abu Dhabi authorities, including DMT/ADM, ADDC, ITC, Transco, and other utility/service authorities.
• Prepare and review technical reports, engineering memos, presentations, and management reports.
• Monitor technical submissions to ensure timely approvals and minimize construction delays.
• Maintain proper technical documentation and ensure all engineering records are up to date.
