Job summary

SALCO Insulated Doors LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Draftsman in the United Arab Emirates to support our engineering team. You will prepare accurate technical drawings, door schedules, and design documentation for door and hardware systems, coordinating with clients, sales engineers, and internal teams.

The role emphasizes customizing drawings to project specifications, maintaining records, and contributing to quotations and project execution.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical diploma in CAD, drafting, engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of drafting experience in a technical environment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong understanding of technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate technical drawings for door and hardware systems based on project requirements.
• Interpret technical specifications and convert concepts into detailed engineering drawings.
• Prepare and maintain door schedules and supporting project documentation.
• Coordinate with clients and the Sales team to review technical requirements and design details.
• Customize standard drawing templates to suit project-specific dimensions and specifications.
• Provide updated drawings to support accurate quotations and project execution.
• Present design recommendations and technical solutions during client meetings when required.
• Maintain organized drawing records and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Support the Engineering team with additional drafting and documentation tasks assigned by the Line Manager.
