Job summary

Alzan Wooden Industry LLC is seeking a Draftsman to prepare detailed CAD drawings for wooden doors, frames, cubicles, and joinery products. This on-site role in Umm Al Quwain requires translating design concepts into accurate fabrication-ready drawings, coordinating with design, engineering, and production teams to meet timelines.

Qualifications

Role Description

The Draftsman is responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings and shop drawings for wooden doors, frames, toilet cubicles, lockers, kitchen cabinets, and related joinery products. This full-time on-site role, based in Umm Al Quwain, involves translating design concepts and client requirements into accurate CAD drawings that can be used for fabrication and installation. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing architectural plans, coordinating with designers, engineers, and production teams, updating drawings based on feedback, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and project specifications. The Draftsman will also assist in material estimation, maintain drawing records, and support the smooth workflow between design and in-house fabrication.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in drafting software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and 3D modeling tools

Strong knowledge in technical drawing, reading and interpreting blueprints, and understanding design principles

Attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to create precise technical documentation

Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with design, production, and client teams

Understanding of fabrication and production processes, particularly in woodworking and related industries

Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the wood manufacturing sector

Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field

Knowledge of industry standards related to carpentry, fireproof door manufacturing, and kitchen furniture design is a plus

Ability to work on-site and meet project deadlines

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of experience in a joinery or fit-out company in the UAE.

Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and technical drawing standards.

Good understanding of wood joinery details and materials.

Must be able to work in Umm Al Quwain.
