Job summary

Leading Edge in Sharjah is seeking a skilled Joinery Draftsman to join our team. You will prepare precise technical and shop drawings for joinery items, including kitchen furniture, cabinetry, doors, and fit-outs, ensuring accuracy and feasibility.

You will also generate cutting lists, coordinate with project managers and production teams, and maintain thorough documentation of drawings and revisions throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience as a Joinery Draftsman (UAE or international).
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed technical and shop drawings for joinery items, including kitchen furniture, cabinets, wardrobes, doors, panels, and fit-outs.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing precise technical drawings, detailed shop drawings, cutting lists, and technical documentation for furniture, cabinetry, doors, and interior fit-out elements. This role requires strong coordination skills, technical accuracy, and the ability to collaborate closely with project and production teams to ensure smooth execution of joinery works.

Key Responsibilities

1. Drafting

• Prepare detailed technical and shop drawings for joinery items, including kitchen furniture, cabinets, wardrobes, doors, panels, and fit-outs.

2. Cutting List Preparation

• Prepare accurate cutting lists based on approved drawings.
• Optimize material usage to reduce waste and improve cost-efficiency.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy.

3. Coordination & Communication

• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and production teams.
• Participate in project meetings to align on design and timelines.
• Communicate design changes or technical issues to relevant stakeholders.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain organized drawing records, revisions, and related documentation.
• Provide timely updates on design progress to the project team.

Qualifications & Skills

• 1-3 years of experience as a Joinery Draftsman (UAE or international).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
