Job summary

ARX is seeking a Senior Technical Coordinator to support multidisciplinary engineering and design activities on infrastructure, transport, buildings, and complex civil projects in the UAE. You will coordinate inputs between project managers, discipline engineers, BIM teams, contractors, and clients, ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation.

• Experience on infrastructure, transport, buildings, bridges, tunnels, or complex civil projects.
• Ability to manage interfaces between civil, structural, architectural, MEP, and BIM teams.
• Awareness of UAE authority requirements (Dubai Municipality, RTA, DEWA, Trakhees).
• Knowledge of BIM/CAD coordination and CDE platforms (ACONEX, Autodesk Construction Cloud, SharePoint).
• MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint; MS Project or Primavera P6 is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical inputs, design deliverables, review comments, RFIs, and submittals across discipline teams.
• Support Project and Design Managers in aligning submissions with scope, contract, and programme.
• Act as coordination link between discipline teams, BIM/CAD, document control, and external parties.
• Track design actions, technical queries, approvals, and deliverables through to closure.
• Help prepare and check technical documentation: design reports, method statements, tender docs, BOQs, minutes.
• Attend design reviews, client meetings, and progress reviews; record decisions and owners.
• Identify conflicts, gaps, and missing information; follow up until resolved.
• Support interface coordination across civil, structural, architectural, MEP, and specialist disciplines.
• Work with the BIM team on model review inputs, clashes, and CDE workflows.
• Maintain technical trackers: deliverable register, comment-response log, action/risk registers.
• Support progress reporting by monitoring milestones, submission dates, approvals, and dependencies.
• Check document completeness, technical consistency, revision status, and reference accuracy.

Technical Coordinator -

100% (m/f)

The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years' experience supporting the technical management and coordination of multidisciplinary engineering and design activities on infrastructure, transport, buildings, or complex civil engineering projects. You will be proactive, organised, technically curious, and comfortable working between project managers, design managers, discipline engineers, BIM teams, contractors, and clients. The role is about making sure nothing falls between disciplines: following technical discussions, tracking actions and deliverables, spotting interface issues early, and keeping information moving until matters are closed. Design direction is set by the Design Manager and the discipline leads.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate technical inputs, design deliverables, review comments, RFIs, and submittals across the discipline teams.
• Support the Project and Design Managers in aligning technical submissions with scope, contract requirements, and programme.
• Act as the coordination link between discipline teams, BIM/CAD, document control, and external parties such as contractors, consultants, and the client.
• Track design actions, technical queries, approvals, and outstanding deliverables through to closure, and chase what is overdue.
• Help prepare and check technical documentation: design reports, method statements, tender documents, BOQs, and minutes of meeting.
• Attend design reviews, technical workshops, client meetings, and internal progress reviews, and record what was decided and by whom.
• Identify technical conflicts, design gaps, and missing information early, then follow up with the responsible party until they are resolved.
• Support interface coordination across civil, structural, architectural, MEP, and specialist disciplines as applicable.
• Work with the BIM team on model review inputs, clash and interface observations, drawing consistency, and CDE workflows.
• Maintain the technical trackers: deliverable register, comment-response log, action and risk registers, and progress summaries.
• Support progress reporting by monitoring design milestones, submission dates, approval status, and key dependencies.
• Check document completeness, technical consistency, revision status, and reference accuracy against project procedures before issue.
• Support tender and construction-stage coordination: clarification responses, site technical queries, submittal follow-up, and technical close-out records.
• Keep communication clear, follow-up disciplined, and documentation accurate across the project team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 8 years' relevant experience in technical coordination, design coordination, or technical-office roles.
• Experience on infrastructure, transport, buildings, bridges, tunnels, or complex civil engineering projects is preferred.
• Strong understanding of engineering deliverables, design reviews, RFIs, submittals, tender documentation, and construction-stage coordination.
• Ability to manage interfaces between civil, structural, architectural, MEP, and BIM teams, and between ARX, contractors, consultants, and the client.
• Awareness of UAE authority requirements for example Dubai Municipality, RTA, DEWA, or Trakhees alongside international design standards.
• Working knowledge of BIM/CAD coordination, model review, clash and interface tracking, and CDE platforms such as ACONEX, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or SharePoint.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; MS Project, Primavera P6, or Power BI is an advantage.
• Ability to write clear meeting minutes, trackers, progress summaries, and follow-up reports without supervision.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, professional persistence, and the ability to hold several open actions and deadlines at once.
• Excellent written and verbal English is required; Arabic language capability is an advantage.
• GCC experience is preferred, with UAE project experience Dubai or Abu Dhabi a particular advantage.
